Description

Face mask carefully printed on latex-free fabric that comfortably contours to the face. The mask is 100% machine washable and reusable. With environmental consciousness in mind, the fabrics are all printed using completely water-based inks. This means no chemicals or solvents are used.

Our Art by Artists collection features artwork by Italian and Italian American artists that belongs to our Permanent Collection. This face mask shows a partial image of the painting  Concerto in Sol Minore: Cimento dell’armonia #2 by Piemontese painter Angela Sepe Novara.
Angela was born and raised in the province of Torino. Graduating from the Fine Arts High School, she went on to study watercolor painting with Guido Bertello, graphic art with Raffaele Pontecorvo, and nude painting at Albertina Academy in Turin. Beginning as a figurative artist, Sepe Novara later moved into Abstract Expressionism. Her current body of work is focused on dissolving and recomposing the image, isolation of the fragment, visual poetry, and installation. She loves to design and create “artistic jewels”, unique pieces in resin and silver. She collaborates with institutions and companies creating works for advertising and special events. Much of her career has been dedicated to fine art education. She also writes poetry and poetic captions for her works. Recent highlights of Angela Sepe Novara’s artistic career include exhibiting at the 52nd Venice Biennale (curated by Philippe Daverio) and the 54th Venice Biennale (curated by Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi), collaborating with the Museum of Modern Art of Torino (GAM), and holding watercolor seminars at the Castle of Rivoli (former Residence of the Royal House of Savoy). Her solo exhibition Colori tra Cielo e Terra was featured at the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin, under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism in 2013, and at the Museo Italo Americano in 2018. *LIMITED EDITION. Available exclusively in sizes L and XL.
