Susan FIlippo is a native San Franciscan of Italian descent and has been with the Museo Italo Americano since 2006, currently serving as Assistant Executive Director. Her career at the Museo began as a volunteer, where her dedication quickly led to a permanent role. Susan attended City College of San Francisco, College of San Mateo, and San Francisco State University.
Before joining the non-profit sector, Susan spent 12 years at Koret of California. When Koret closed, Susan decided to leave the corporate world and embrace the non-profit sector, a decision that allowed her to follow her passion for community and culture.
Susan has also dedicated much of her time to volunteer work, including service with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Outside of her professional life, Susan enjoys walking and spending time in nature, embracing the beauty of the outdoors.
