b. 1960 Este (PD), ItalyAward-winning photographer Luciano Monti was born in Este, Padova, in 1960. In 1984 he earned his degree in English Language and Literature and began a career in teaching. In 1992 and 1993, he was named Kodak Portrait Photographer of the year. In 1997 he stopped teaching to pursue his passion for photography full-time. In 2003 he became a Hasselblad Master. He is the author of four books on photography and his works can be found in many museums throughout Europe. He continues to live and work in Padova.
