b. 1950 Venice, ItalyRoberto Soncin Gerometta was born in Venice, Italy, and studied at the University of Padua where he received a degree in Law. After practicing law in Italy for seven years, Roberto abandoned the profession to become a full-time photographer, realizing that photography was his true passion and calling. An inveterate traveler, Roberto’s camera is always in hand to capture a point-of-view or moment. His wanderings eventually brought him to San Francisco, where he now resides.Now a full-time professional photographer, Soncin Gerometta has had his work published in Europe, the United States and Australia. His photography was also featured in Seasons of the Vineyard, an intimate look at the Robert Mondavi Winery and the contribution of the Mondavi family to the wine and food culture of California’s Napa Valley. Roberto contributes regularly to the marketing efforts of leading travel companies in the U.S. including Backroads, Country Walkers, Grand Circle Travel, and Overseas Adventure Travel, where his photography appears in catalogues and brochures.
