b. 1948 Gorizia, ItalyGianpietro Cudin (Italian; 1948) was born in Gorizia, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. He studied architecture and psychology at the University of Padova, where he currently lives. He started his artistic career as a painter in 1966, although he was soon introduced to different kinds of media and materials, such as metal and stone. He largely experimented with sculpture, which he loves because of its way of producing a wide array of light effects. Cudin’s large public sculptural pieces can be found in different Italian cities and towns. His exhibitions have been displayed in Europe, Japan, Canada, Russia, and United States.
