b. 1942 Cleveland, OhioPaulette Perone Long was born in the Midwest. As a child, she studied painting at the Cleveland Museum School of Art, and later painted her way through college, earning an MA in Art History. More recently, Long has studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and with Ennio Tirabassi in Rome. Her abstract paintings offer up configurations of light, color, form and movement, which along with symbolic objects such as the sea, the drape and the sun, draw viewers in to explore and illuminate their own hidden emotions.
