D. 1927 San Francisco, CaliforniaGiovanni Giribone was born in Torre Pellice, Italy, and studied art at the Accademia Albertina in Torino from 1878-1888. He immigrated to San Francisco in 1911, participating in the 1915 Pan Pacific International Exposition. He painted the interior of St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Beach (now a San Francisco landmark) during its reconstruction following the 1906 earthquake and fire. He also painted murals for St. James Catholic Church on Guerrero Street in San Francisco. He is listed in Who Was Who in American Art 1564-1975 (Volume II) by Peter Hastings Falk.
