Mary Serventi Steiner is Secretary of the Museo Italo Americano’s Board of Directors,
and also currently serves as Chair of the Art and Exhibitions Committee. Mary served as
the Museo’s curator from 2009-2019, where she had the opportunity to curate art
exhibits, as well as documentary exhibitions featuring aspects of Italian and Italian
American culture.
Mary earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, majoring
in Psychology and Italian. It was here that she began studying Italian. After a semester
abroad in Siena, what began as a language requirement grew into a lifelong passion for
studying the Italian language, art, and culture. Mary travels annually to Italy and looks
forward to taking her four grandchildren with her soon.
